I bought my hard drive roughly six months ago and it has consistently worked perfectly. I've traveled around the world with it, dropped it countless times, and I subject it to rigorously misuse. Yet amazingly it remains reliable. I have not experienced any of the problems the previous reviewer expressed and assume his unit was a rare exception of an otherwise incredibly high quality product.
